Sometimes I make mistakes.
That's right, I admit it. I am not a perfect creature that never slips up.
To err is human. To blame someone else is politics.
Hubert H. Humphrey
In our society, we are taught to be ashamed of mistakes. However, I have learned over the years that mistakes provide us with great opportunities. They present valuable learning lessons that teach us to become better at what we do. They also create situations where we can actually improve and benefit our clients, hence yielding even more fantastic results!
Mistakes force us to be in the "now".
They can be a wake-up call to provide action. They can be a measuring stick of our dedication to doing the right thing. Mistakes help us to review our methods and procedures allowing us to tweak and improve. They make us ask questions and engage others. Mistakes allow us to look in the mirror and work towards being better in both work and life. They become the glue in our relationship that creates a stronger bond.
Making mistakes is a humbling experience making us check our ego, and mistakes make us stronger through accountability and growth.
Yes, sometimes I make mistakes. However I will work to correct the situation to the best of my abilities. And as I do, we both will grow stronger and smarter together.
